The grounds around Big Boulder Lodge are beautiful and spacious, the jewel in the crown in any season.

From the deck, steps take the visitor down to the river past the hammock on one side and the bar patio on the other. There is ample space for guests to relaxing under the shade of the tall pine trees.

At the riverside there are two jetties that extend into the river. The firepit lies between the two jetties and has seating available. From this area you can see the massive boulders in the river from which the lodge takes its name. It is rumoured that there is an enormous musky living under the rock.
